Have you ever wondered about the additional features Looker Studio Pro offers compared to the standard version? The differences between the two products have been a poorly explored grey area for a long time.

This week, Looker Studio released new training material that dives deep into features exclusive to the Pro version, including workspaces, report scheduling, and security topics.

As Looker Studio shifts more focus to the Pro version in the coming months, more resources will likely become available.

Happy learning!

We don’t have as many regulations on locking down data, is that the primary benefit to the pro account? I was interested in better tech support alone. Can I just pay for that?

I haven’t seen any updates about improved tech support for Looker Studio Pro.

From what I can tell, the Pro features seem to target Looker customers. There’s now a “Studio” within Looker, which integrates Looker Studio Pro directly into Looker.

Since Looker is primarily used by large enterprises, it makes sense that Pro features are focused on enterprise-level needs. These features will likely be exclusive to the Pro version.

I attended a roadmap presentation a few weeks ago (unfortunately, no recording is available, but Mehdi Oudjida shared a great recap). However, the roadmap didn’t clearly outline which features would be available in the Pro version versus the standard one.

In summary: there’s a strong focus on Looker, with a solid integration of Looker Studio into Looker, which will benefit all Looker Studio users.
