I checked and sadly the Instagram Insights API doesn’t yet support repost metrics. This is pretty common though that companies will add new features to the UI first, and then add them to the API later.

We’ll keep an eye out to see if Meta does add the capability to the API in the future and add it then.

Just to confirm, is this already included in your development pipeline, or would it be okay if we regularly check in on a monthly or bi-monthly basis?
We really value this metric and are hopeful to access accurate data through the API soon.

As mentioned, the API doesn’t support it at all yet, so its not in our pipeline. There’s nothing to develop yet!

We’ll watch to see if the API changes and as we’re tracking this ask, we’ll know to look for this specific addition. Then whenever Meta adds it to the API, we’ll evaluate it to be added to the data source.

Given that Meta sometimes takes years to add metrics (or never adds them), it might be better to have a “don’t call us, we’ll call you” approach here - we’ll update this thread once we have something to add and then you don’t need to worry about constantly asking for updates.
