Hello,

It would be useful to add the existing metrics for LinkedIn newsletters, which we need to report on in the same way as other KPIs.

Best regards,
Lisa

Hi Lisa,

To confirm, you mean the Subscription clicks related metrics?

Thank you,

Jessica

Hi Jessica,

I am referring to all metrics related to newsletters offered by LinkedIn: impressions, interactions, article views, followers/new followers. There is also the usual LinkedIn demographic data dedicated to newsletters. I can send you screenshots in private if you wish.

Best regards,

Lisa

Thanks for the reply!

Those other fields should theoretically already be supported. Newsletters are just type of sponsored content that should already be supported by the existing fields that work with sponsored post creatives.

The only items I see in the API that specifically are for newsletters are those subscription metrics, which we currently don’t support and those would need to be added. So will log a feature request to look at adding those in the future.

It’s possible something isn’t hooked up right in the backend to fetch the proper dimensions for this kind of sponsored content, but it should still have the engagement metrics tied to the ad ID using the newsletter post. Just title, description, and things like that would be empty.

If it is the case those don’t show up at all in the data and were created using organic posts as the base (there seems to be a limitation Newsletter and Article ads can’t be “dark posted” as paid-ad-only content), then that should be reported as a bug: https://supermetrics.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Thank you,
Jessica
