Google Ads and META Ads Blend

Hey everyone, thanks in advance for your time.

I am new to Supermetrics and Looker Studio, and facing an issue with data blend.

I want to blend data from campaigns in order to use some outdated Supermetrics templates, like Google Ads vs META Ads for looker studio.

This template is outdated, and some metrics don’t work anymore.

In order to personalize it and update it, I wanted to create my own blend.

As the dimension, I am using date with an union of “total exterior”. I use total exterior in order to map other dimensions or metrics without trouble.

As the metrics, let’s say I want to blend google conversions with META website purchases (this is not working correctly in the actual supermetrics template and pre-configured data source for the template).

When I create a graph, I don’t necessarily want it to be a timeline or trend. In this case, I want a circular graph that shows me the percentage of purchases made in each platform (compared to the total combined).

As the dimension, I should be able to select “Source” or “Platform”. There is not option to do this, as the supermetrics data connector does not import this field. So I find myself with “Date”, that shows me the date when conversions where made, without showing the platform.

I tried mapping and using “account name” in the blending settings. Once I map it, I find myself with “account name table 1” and “account name table 2” as two different dimensions. This means that, when selecting 1/1 dimension for my circular graph, I am leaving the other dimension behind.

How can I blend my data so that I can use the platform dimension and use this dimension in graphs?

For the date, I will just use the particular date field in each graph, or the report-level date selector, to populate the data within that time period. Or when using other graphs, as line trends, I will be able to use platform and date as the two dimensions.

(I checked tutorials and Chatgpt). Chatgpt talked about Bigquery and some formulas that seemed way to advance for a dimension this simple.
