“Background report import is in progress. Please try again later. If the problem remains after 24 hours, please contact our support.”

Hello Ryanmio,

Thank you for your patience!

This error can happen due to the request load i.e your query being too heavy. As the API is not super robust for The Trade Desk, caching make take some time on our end and the query times out.

Could you please try to:

1: Reduce the date range of your request

2: Leave out any fields not crucial to your use case

3: Remove any accounts not needed in the pull (if you’re using all_accounts, for example)

If the above steps can’t be accommodated or do not have the desired impact, then please get in touch by leaving a ticket with us. Then we can look into restarting your imports and have a closer look at what might be going on.

Just to follow up – I reauthenticated and the issue went away the following day. Not sure if it was the reauth or the time, but this issue is resolved.

Hi @ryanmio

I’ve come across a similar issue and wanted to ask if you were able to pull the required date range once you reauthenticated?

For example you were getting an error when pulling month to date (Sept 2024) Then when you reauthenticated you were able to pull this fine with no error?

If you could confirm would be great.

Thanks
