AD or creative name for google ads

mnatanasabapathy

What is the equivalent dimension for “ad” in google ads platform to supermetrics dimension for google ads connector. I am trying to get the ad or creative name for GDN/Youtube ads in google ads using supermetrics. Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi @mnatanasabapathy
For display ads, the ad name is referred to as “Image ad name”. I’m not 100% sure if this captures all YouTube videos, but based on a small test I ran, it seems to do so. Let me know if that works for you.

@Milja  What about for Google RDA ads? Can all the various images and the copy text be broken out show performance on all the various versions?

Hi @KarenR

For Google Responsive Display Ads (RDA), there are specific fields available to break out performance for different versions of the copy. For headlines, you can use fields "Responsive search ad headline 1" through "Responsive search ad headline 15." Similarly, for descriptions, there are fields from "Responsive search ad description 1" through "Responsive search ad description 5." This allows you to analyze performance across various versions of your ad copy.

Here is the documentation of the currently available fields in Google Ads: https://supermetrics.com/docs/integration-google-ads-fields/
